Audio Book The Dog Who Wouldn't Be with FREE MOBI EDITION!

I read to 4th graders weekly at our local elementary school (or used to prior to the virus). I bought this book as a potential chapter book to read to the class. While the story is interesting, it is not written through the eyes of a child, but rather an adult. It was written in the 50s, and the vocabulary is not child-friendly. Big words that they wouldn't know, plus jargon regarding hunting, sailing, and nature in general that were perhaps common in Canada and in the 1950s, but not now. I did enjoy the book, but it was easy to put down. As far as 'laugh out loud' moments described in the book's description, I didn't experience that.
