I was so disappointed in this book that I don't even know where to begin. So poorly written. The main character spends a lot of her time thinking what she thinks other people are thinking - in great detail. And, she is so obsessed with WHY a co-worked went postal. She goes on and on about it - she can't move on until she knows WHY. If she can just speak with his mother she'll be able to understand WHY. But when the mother doesn't know WHY - about face - suddenly she decides that it's not that important, she just needs to move on. Yes, she should have moved on about 6 chapters ago. And the poor dog. Friends think that leaving this poor, abused, shy dog with a person that doesn't even like dogs, is a good idea. Right. She takes the dog out and tries to give it away to strangers. When that doesn't work, she decides that the pound is a good place for the dog. REALLY?? The pound is a good place for an abused, scared dog??? Who in their right mind would think that??? Then - about face, suddenly this dog is the most important thing in her life. One of the worst books I have ever read.
